Holiday Healthy Tips
The holiday
is fast approaching. More foods and drinks will come your way. The major
problem of people after celebrating the holidays is unnecessary weight gain.
Here are some to-do-things to keep you from gaining so much weight.
Eat Before You Party
Don’t go to a party hungry, the chance of over eating is high. Eating
so much carbohydrates and fats for a single meal would build up stored fats and
calories. This would make you gain weight in less time. So, whenever you go to a
party in London, don’t go on an empty stomach nor full because it’s either you’ll gain
weight or miss the delicious food.
Portion Control
Set limits on the food that you are taking. If you can’t
finish everything on your plate, don’t bother to do so don't waste it. You’ll gain more weight
if you’ll persist on taking it all in. Try to have small parts of everything,
aside from having a taste of every menu; you won’t be wasting any food.
Drink Moderately
Alcohol moderation would keep you from hangovers and of course,
gaining weight. Calories from alcoholic drinks are well-known to be stored at
the abdomen. Tucking in your tummy will be necessary if you continue to drink
too much.
Don't Be To Sweet
Sweets are the most famous to be the cause of gaining
weight. Limit the sweets that you take, this will keep you away from gaining
weight. Eating too many sweets would also cause your blood sugar to shoot up.
Diabetic patients should monitor their blood sugar afterwards.
Water Up

Water keeps us away from dehydration. Aside from that fact, it helps our
body organs to function well. You don’t want to spend the holidays on the
hospital due to dehydration, right? Be sure to recycle those bottles afterwards.
Be Active
Physical activities should be done even during holidays. You’ll
have to burn the fats and calories that you have gained during the holidays,
right? clean and clear rubbish in your home and office can burn a lot of calories.
Finding Your Balance
Moderating everything is necessary. Holidays are made
for family members to come home together and celebrate. Having quality time
with your family is priceless. Aside from all the fun, you should be also
taking care of one another. So, be conscious of each one’s health and moderate and clear everything that bothers you. Anything that is too much gives you no good.

A great reminder as we begin the holiday season!
ReplyDeleteI like the advice of not filling a plate if you don't plan on eating everything. In that way, food doesn't go to waste. To me, it's better to save and reheat food, rather than tossing it.
ReplyDeleteGood tips as we head into the holidays!
