Waste Clearance London-The proprietor of a local waste clearance company has been apprehended and arraigned for diverse offenses involving illegal burning and burying of waste in Wayne County.
Joseph Bunell, 50 was arrested last Friday by authorities from the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office.
Bunnel owns the Bunnell Waste Removal at 257 Tryon Street in Honesdale.
Based on the complaint, Bunnel was charged with obtaining money from clients while not properly dumping their garbage.
Attorney General Linda Kelly said Bunnell allegedly provided customers with bogus landfill weigh tickets which falsely indicated their buried and burned waste had been disposed of at a landfill.
The documents was gathered by Donald A. Hentz Jr., a special agent with the Office of Attorney General, Bureau of Criminal Investigations, Environmental Crimes Section.
Hentz said in October 2011, he interviewed someone who had worked at Bunnell for about six years.
The employee said that he was directed by Bunnell or BWR supervisory employee Jody Rickert to transport waste to one of the two sites in Wayne County.
He said waste was transported to the Tryon Street site in Honesdale where it was sorted by Bunnell employees and then burned or taken to the Keystone landfill in Dunmore.
The complaint says that waste was "driven up the hill at Tryon Street" by employees "early in the morning and burned primarily on foggy/rainy days."
The agent also interviewed a 20-year employee of Bunnell who said that approximately four to six loads of trash at a time were dumped at Tryon Street and sorted by laborers.
He said all wood, cardboard and tires were separated out to be burned at the site.
The affidavit also said that local fire departments were frequently called to the site to put out trash fires.
In December of 2011, the agent interviewed Don Hiller of the Seelyville Fire Department. Hiller told Hentz he was aware Bunnell had been burning waste on Tryon Street "for approximately five to seven years."
Hiller told investigators he remembered a specific incident on March 22, 2010, where he observed a pile of burning debris approximately 60 feet by 60 feet with flames 30 to 40 feet in the air. He described the debris as "construction and demolition waste consisting of beams, lumber, shingles, etc."
The agent also interviewed Department of Environmental Protection Solid Waste Specialist Mike Lucsky, who first began inspecting the Bunnell facility in 2004. Lucsky said he made numerous visits to the site and saw evidence of the processing, burning and burial of waste without DEP permits. He said several notices of violations and compliance have been issued to Bunnell for solid waste violations on Tryon Street.
A compliance order issued in March 2011 required removal of burned and buried waste. Lucsky monitored the cleanup of the Tryon Street property, including the extraction of 240 tons of burned and buried waste that was ultimately disposed of at the Keystone Sanitary Landfill.
In November 2011, the agent interviewed another employee of Bunnell, who said he was ordered to take roll-offs of waste to Tryon Street to be sorted and/or burned and he was additionally told to deliver construction and demolition waste to the Hunt property in northern Wayne County.
In February 2012, agents executed a search warrant at the Hunt property.
During the search, it was learned that Bunnell had paid $200 per load to dump waste at the Hunt property in northern Wayne County.
During the search, areas identified by witnesses were excavated and searched. Extensive burned areas were observed and buried waste was excavated, including construction and demolition waste, household items and ash.
DEP officials said they had not issued any permit for allowing disposal of solid waste at the Hunt property.
During another interview in January 2012, officials learned that Bunnell Waste never had any scales to weigh waste. The weights of the roll-offs were either estimated or determined at the Wayne County Recycling Center, the investigators were told.
Investigators also learned that Bunnell Waste staff members copied unrelated Keystone Sanitary Landfill weigh tickets that would "then be altered by changing information, including customer name, account number, vehicle code, date and time of transaction."
It states the altered weigh tickets were provided to Bunnell customers with billing/invoice documents.
"Customers were billed on the false weight on the altered Keystone Sanitary Landfill weigh tickets," stated the affidavit.
In August 2012, investigators interviewed Susan L. Mang, office manager of Bunnell Waste. Mang told investigators that Bunnell is involved in all aspects of the company and when he is not present, it is operated by Jody Rickert.
She added that during the course of the day, company drivers would call in and notify office staffof where they were and the type of load they had picked up. Then, either Joe Bunnell or Rickert directed where the loads would be taken. Loads were either returned directly to Tryon Street, taken to the Wayne County Recycling Center to be weighed and then returned to Tryon Street or delivered to the Keystone landfill for disposal. The affidavit says that loads returned to Tryon Street were either processed, burned and/or buried.
In July 2012, agents interviewed Dan O'Brien, business manager for Keystone Sanitary Landfill. He said Keystone provides customers with weigh tickets documenting transactions at the landfill. He also confirmed that Bunnell Waste is a customer of the landfill.
He said those tickets document the date and time of the transaction, net, gross and tare weight of the vehicle transporting the waste and location within the landfill grid system where the waste is disposed.
O'Brien said he "doubted it was possible for trucks to have the same gross, net and tare weights and stated it was virtually impossible for waste to be disposed of at the landfill in the same grid on different days."
Investigators reviewed 366 Bunnell weigh tickets, invoices and associated billing documents for BWR customers from Jan. 17, 2009, through May 11, 2012.
The agent noted "numerous instances where weigh tickets contained identical information regarding gross, net and tare weights, grid location and driver's signatures."
It was also determined the customers were billed in excess of $2,000 by Bunnell for proper waste disposal.
The agent cited various Pennsylvania codes which he alleges were violated by Bunnell.
Bunnell was charged with two counts of illegal transportation, one count of illegal dumping, one count of illegal burning, one count of illegal storage, one count of theft by deception and one county of corrupt organizations.
The last two counts are felonies and the other are misdemeanors.
He was arraigned last Friday by Magisterial District Judge Ted Mikulak and was released on $2,500 unsecured bail.

Things You Can Recycle in the Office
Top Office Supplies for Recycling
Have you ever noticed office recycling bins with different colors in your office? They are not designed to fit the color of the room actually. They are color coded for different types of trash - biodegradable, non-biodegradable, and recyclable. It’s easy to determine which is which, common sense will tell you but a recycling information but be visible. Be helpful in segregating your trash, it’s a simple way of saving the environment. Here are some of commonly used supplies in your office which can be recycled or reused.
Office Supplies
Folders, paper clips, rubber bands, binders, name it; you could always reuse these office supplies on another projects and paper works. Have a small rack that is accessible to your office mates and place everything that you don’t need, they could be looking for the supplies that you won’t be using anymore.
Paper
What office does not use paper? Every office needs paper and for sure, they have lots of scratch papers. Remember, papers have two sides; you can always use the blank side of the scratch paper for drafts and other internal documents. Tons of trees were used in making papers. To think that tress has to grow for years to be used for papers, you’ll have to lessen your wasted papers.File Folders
File folders, especially the plastic ones, can be reused for other documents. Labeling them with adhesive labels could make you reuse them for another document. Edges might already be worn out but you could still use them for your filling.
Shipping Supplies
Boxes, Styrofoam, packing paper, etc. can be reused. Scratch papers that have both sides printed can be used as packing material. Boxes and Styrofoam can be used to store your documents or other supplies. If they are of no use for you, try to give them to somebody who needs it. You don’t have to throw it away.
Computers and Computer Accessories
If your computer and equipment does not work anymore, don’t throw it readily, some parts of your computer can still be recycle. You could always dismantle your computer and make spare parts out of it. If your computer is not that old and you don’t use it, donate it. It might be of use for others.

Recycling in Your Own Home
Saving water
You can save water in your home by hiring a plumber to redesign your water system so that it can recycle the water to flush the toilet after you take a bath. The water from the rain barrel is also a good source of free water to flush the toilet so an eco-friendly design is all you need.
Channel the water from the shower and sink to the garden plants so that you can maximize your water waste. Make sure you use a biodegradable soap that is not harmful to the environment so that you won't have a complicated filter for your water waste.
Making a Compost
Composting is one of the best ways to recycle. All you have to do is find a bin and dump it in. A little mixing once in a while can help. Trash from your garden and food waste can go to your compost. Try to make a hanging garden once your compost is ready or donate it to the nearest plot in your area as soil. Making compost out of your food waste can make your garbage bins fill slowly and it won't smell as bad since it only contains non-recyclable materials. Later you can add paper and napkins in your compost as it becomes more active.
E-waste Recycling
E-waste Recycling
Electronic gadgets recycling are now popular. Different companies have been creating their own program to recycle electronic products. Non-profit organizations fix old but still usable computers and donate them to schools. Other companies resell your gadgets to others at a lower price for others to reuse. Cell phones donated for soldiers and senior citizen's use.
Give away your old appliance to a repair shop, or training school so that they can practice repairing it. Most cities accept hazardous waste and electronics for recycling.
Avoid buying the things you don't need and avoid hoarding. You can save a lot of money by having only things that you really need. If your stuff is piling up then it is time to donate your things. Free cycle, Recyclers Exchange and Craigslist can be your savior for a clutter free home. Make it a habit to donate or recycle things when you don't use anymore.

More Than Bottles and Cans: Five Ways to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle on America Recycles Day
Yesterday marked America Recycles Day, the only nationally recognized day dedicated to promoting and celebrating recycling in the United States. Organized by Keep America Beautiful, America Recycles Day is a time for each of us to think about our level of personal waste and to consider ways to reduce it.
Every year since 1980, the rate of Americans who recycle has increased. And, as most of us know by now, recycling is about more than just bottles, cans, newspapers and magazines, although recycling all of those is important! New innovations -- along with some tried and true methods -- allow us to easily recycle more than just those items required by law. Today, think about what you can do to decrease your own environmental impact and make the "reduce, reuse and recycle" mantra a part of your daily routine.
Here are five ways to get started:

Plastic campaign signs shouldn't go in recycling cart
When political candidates and their volunteers go out Wednesday to pick up all their campaign signs — as we’re sure they plan to do — remember this: Many of those signs are made of corrugated plastic that is not readily recyclable. So don’t toss them in a city smart cart or a county recycling bin.
Instead, haul them out to the county’s solid waste facility (7550 Apalachee Parkway) or Marpan Recycling (6020 Woodville Highway). The county will re-purpose corrugated plastic signs; Marpan will bundle them off to companies that do recycle these materials.
Of course, campaign signs can be tossed in with garbage, which is dumped in the landfill. But some might say that’s wrong in a world where we try to reduce the amount of garbage we bury.

My Healthy Green Mixed Vegetables
I always believe that I am a good cook but never found the courage of blogging it.Actually I came from a family who loves to eat and boasting each others specialty cooking during the weekend lunch together.
It was a secret competition among siblings while my father is reading the Texas News or watching Kevin Durant and my mother is busy on her backyard garden but since most blog hops is about healthy lifestyle I am showing you my hidden talent.
It is very simple vegetable recipe which anyone can do it. You can cook this 10-15 minutes tops. Most ingredients are available in your local farmers market but make sure to bring your own reusable recycle bag in order to Help the World and avoid using plastic to avoid to much rubbish going to your rubbish clearance London service.
Find any fresh cabbage, carrots, baby corns, broccoli, bell pepper, cauliflower, sweet onions and mushrooms or just buy those that are bountiful during that season.
Chop the vegetable to your desire shape. The more color, the better it will look so make sure to add those red bell peppers.
Pour some olive oil in the pan and wait for it to heat up and add everything and keep on stirring so that all the vegetables will be evenly cooked. If you want you can add a little water ,oyster sauce and some flour to thicken the sauce but if you won't its OK. Add some salt ,soy sauce and pepper to taste.
Make sure all the vegetables are not overcooked. It's best to cook it when the guest have already arrived or let them help by chopping those vegetables.

Recycling Your Children's Crayons
As a child we love crayons so much. We love its color and how it makes our drawing beautiful. Crayons can give life to the drawings no matter how ugly it is. One color of your crayons can make your drawings alive. But when it break and turn into small little crayon and we don’t use it anymore. We think it’s no use and then we buy a new one.
This would be a fun, fantastic and worthwhile project for schools where children use crayons in their school work.
This is a good move to make the student become fully aware of their social responsibility. To recycle and reuse their things which they think is of no use to them. They can also share and give to the less fortunate their stuff which they no longer used.

Victory!! Abby Goldberg,12, "Don't Let Big Plastic Bully Me"
They say children is the Hope of the World. Everytime I see Severn Susuki in Youtube, the girl who silenced the world in 5 minutes delivers her message I always ended up crying. I cry because I will be leaving the world to my children a World in destruction.
Once again I cried, not for Severn speech but for Abby Goldberg, a 12 year old who secured 170,000 plus signatures for a gubernatorial veto on her Change.org petition "Don't Let Big Plastic Bully Me!" which opposes a bill to required plastic bag manufacturers to set up recycling programs, but at the expense of municipal liberties to ban plastic bags altogether.
“I'm 12, so I've gotten that reaction: ‘She's 12, what can she do?'" Abby previously explained to the Chicago Sun-Times. "You can make a difference no matter how old you are."
The grayslake resident was surprised by Governor Pat Quinn last Saturday that he supported her petition.
"I was so excited," the Prairie Crossing Charter School eighth-grader told the Chicago Tribune Sunday. "I thanked him so many times."
The proposed law would have required manufacturers to set up recycling clearance programs, and set a goal to increase the recycling rate by 12 percent by 2015,but it would hinder retail stores to using only registered manufacturers' products and ban local municipalities from enacting their own plastic bag laws.
On Sunday, Quinn formally vetoed the proposed law, saying that it limited local municipalities and pushing back against claims from the Illinois Manufacturers Association that called the bill an opportunity for Illinois to become a national leader in recycling Rubbish Clearance London
“While well-intentioned, this legislation is a roadblock to innovation that would do little to boost recycling in Illinois,” Quinn said in a news release. “We can do better.”
While well-intentioned, this legislation is a roadblock to innovation that would do little to boost recycling in Illinois. We can do better," Quinn said in a statement. "Let's not tie the hands of innovative Illinois municipalities that are laboratories of reform for Illinois."

Recycle, Reuse and ShareFest 2012
Having everything you need is really a gift that you should be thankful for. There are many people in the world that lives with less and still work hard to fill their needs. Being a person who lives with abundance you should share your blessings to others who are less fortunate.
Sharing to others what you have even big or small is a big help to them. As a citizen in this world it is your social responsibility to help. It gives a feeling of happiness that no money can buy.
Gary Cheney an independent insurance broker is a resident of Lenox who was once inspired on how to share their blessings to others. He is now the chairman of the New Lenox ShareFest organization. The organization focuses much of its attention on recycling and reuse but also has a collective eye trained on assisting senior citizens, feeding the hungry and preserving green space.
"When our family comes together-religion and politics are often a topic of discussion, "Cheney said. "One Thanksgiving back in '06, we were gathering as a family and there were a number of things in the world that had happened."
"One of our daughters brought up the question and said, 'What would you do to solve that? What would you do if you had all the money in the world?' It went around the table.
Then, somebody said, 'Well, if I had all the money in the world, I would start a TV show or a news show and it would only be about good news.'
"People are beat up with all of the chaos that is going on. That's when that voice came to and said, 'It's time.'
"That night he start to conceptualize the birth of his now Share Fest organization. It's been six years and they are still continuing doing their objectives."
"I see it as taking responsibility to do what I feel I've been called to do," he said. "That takes going out and making relationships to get it done. It's not me, really. You need to consider all of the people involved. We have 70 organizations involved in Share Fest."
They also encouraged everyone in the community to donate old clothing or used books. All of the items will be collected and recycled or redistributed, thanks to the work of Cheney's Share Fest team. This item will be distributed to the less fortunate children. This will also lessen their problem in their mounting rubbish clearance.
"Well, first of all, the township and I am personally committed to recycling," Bill McCollum New Lenox Township Supervisor said.
"As we know, it's a problem with the landfills. They're filling up all too quickly. And I think the EPA and others have taken the initiative that we need to be doing something better with these materials.
"The township has a charge with the recycling constituents here in New Lenox. They have voiced their concerns about this. They want to recycle. They want to be good stewards of the environment. They've told us that. And this is our response.
Reuse, reduce and recycle is the solution to the mounting problems of garbage in the community. We should all participate on how solve this. We should recycle those things we think is no use to us. This way we can save money on buying new things. We should also donate those items we can’t use anymore. This will be a big help to others.

Fujitsu Develops Industry's First System for Recycling CDs and DVDs into Notebook PCs
Fujitsu Limited and Fujitsu Laboratories Limited today announced the development of the PC industry's first recycling system that collects used CDs and DVDs at Fujitsu Group recycling centers and reuses the plastic in the bodies of notebook PCs.
Fujitsu began using this recycled plastic for part of the front panel of its LIFEBOOK P772/E notebook PC for enterprise customers, a model in its summer 2012 lineup.
To avoid the risk of contaminants being mixed into the recycled plastic, the new recycling system performs quality control based on a chemical substances risk management database developed by Fujitsu Laboratories, thereby ensuring that notebook PCs and other ICT devices comply with legal requirements for chemical components. Compared to conventional notebook PC manufacturing processes, this system is expected to reduce the amount of newly produced plastic used by 10 tons per year while cutting CO2 emissions by approximately 15%.
Going forward, Fujitsu plans to expand the use of this system to other notebook PCs and products as a way to reduce its environmental footprint and resource consumption. The Fujitsu Group is proud to promote the recycling of end-of-life ICT products in Japan and around the world to help create a recycling-minded and not a rubbish clearance society.
At the company's five recycling centers across Japan, Fujitsu collects, disassembles, sorts, and recycles personal computers and other products. However, reusing the recovered plastic in new computer units had posed a number of challenges. Firstly, when different types of plastic are involved, a uniform mixture is impossible to achieve even by melting the plastic with heat. As a result, it is necessary to collect only a single type of plastic to ensure the desired material properties. Even so, in a given plastic, there may be differences in ingredients, visual defects, or impurities that make it difficult to achieve the same molding characteristics, colors, strength and other properties as conventional plastics. Furthermore, compliance with the RoHS directive(1) and REACH regulations(2) regarding the safety of chemicals in ICT products has made it challenging to control the quality of recycled plastics, and until now it has been impossible to reuse recovered plastic in a computer bodies.
With this in mind, Fujitsu turned its attention to CDs and DVDs, which are often included with PCs and are available in predictable quantities. These optical discs are made from polycarbonate, a type of plastic suitable for use in the bodies of notebook PCs. Moreover, they do not include any contaminants, such as flame retardants, so they were deemed to be a suitable material for recycling.
As part of its quality control process, Fujitsu has long followed the practices of designing products to be easily disassembled and labeling the types of plastic used in its products to enable easy identification. In addition, the company employs Fujitsu Laboratories risk management database of the chemical substances included in plastic materials to verify whether or not the collected CD and DVD fragments contain harmful substances. The company also checks to ensure safety and to confirm that the optical discs have the material properties required for use in Fujitsu's notebook PCs.
Through collaboration with plastic washing and processing company PANAC Industries, Inc. and Idemitsu Kosan Co., Ltd., a manufacturer of resin compounds, Fujitsu has been able to improve the quality and manage the safety of its recycled plastics. This, in turn, has enabled Fujitsu to develop the PC industry's first system for recycling end-of-life products collected at its own recycling centers, thereby making it possible to reuse the recovered plastics in the bodies of PCs.

New Law Requires Businesses To Promote Recycling
Since July 1, California State law
mandates businesses to provide and implement recycling methods.
- Any business that generates 4 cubic
yards or more of waste per week; and
- Multi-Family dwellings with five or
more units.
California State law requires
apartment owners to offer recycling services at residents' request. Apartment
owners may require tenants to recycle. Businesses and Multi-Family communities
that meet the threshold must recycle at the place of work or jobsite.
With this new law passed here are some
suggestions where to recycle your rubbish.
-You can hire the services of a rubbish collection service near you.
-have a different bins for different
garbage and bring the recyclables to the nearest recycling company in your
area.
-You can also bring your rubbish to
the nearest Material Recovery Facility (MRF) as long as they are segregated
-If there is a local recycling center
near you then you can check them out if they are using single stream recycling
which does not require any segregation and the cost is less than your average
garbage service.
The best way to reduce your garbage is
to implement a comprehensive recycling plan with the help of your tenants.
1) Inform and educate workers and

Recycling Labels Causes Confusion In Recycling Bins
When Sandra Keil transferred to Arlington last year, she received a letter of warning of a hefty 50$ penalty if she continues to add paper in the recycling bin.
"I gasped," the Arlington, Va., resident remembers. "I'm a recycling expert."
Keil, an executive with recycling directory Earth911.com, was unaware that she needed to put the paper trash in bags beside the bins. "I was wrong," she says.
To solve this confusion a new sign will appear in different items this fall. The voluntary How2Recycle label will provide indicators if the product is recycled in most areas or not.
"There's a lot of confusion and misinformation about recyclability," says Anne Bedarf, who helped develop the label for the Sustainable Packaging Coalition of GreenBlue, a non-profit environmental group. "We want to provide information that's transparent and consistent."
The idea came from United Kingdom and was launched first on a laundry detergent by Seventh Generation and hand towels by outdoor-gear retailer REI. Other companies follow suit such as Estee Lauder, Costco Wholesale, General Mills' Yoplait, Microsoft, Orville Redenbacher, BJ's and Best Buy.
Others are skeptical with the new recycling labels.
"It may cause more confusion," says Keil, who argues that recycling varies too much from place to place. "It's really hard to have a standardized label when there's no standardized policy."
She says consumers want to know what they can recycle, not what most Americans can. She fears the label may lead to mistakes and higher local costs.
Recycling "is very tricky, and it's very local," she says.

Have you Tried Working Out on A Green Gym?
There are many gyms nowadays are eco-friendly. They realize that being healthy is not enough we should also need a clean environment. That's why the Scottsdale, Ariz.-based fitness centre, which opened last spring as one of the state's first eco-friendly gyms, puts its patrons' hard work to use with energy-harnessing cardio machines that capture and reclaim the power produced by users.
The elliptical machines and fitness bikes found at Off the Grid, manufactured by SportsArt Fitness and PlugOut Fitness, respectively, are part of the fitness industry's push towards sustainability. They offer also self-powered treadmills, which consume no energy at all.
Off the Grid founder Eric Guilleminault got the idea from Adam Boesel, founder of the Green Microgym in Portland, Ore. and the inventor of the PlugOut fitness bikes.
Guilleminault also used recycled construction material and weightlifting machines when possible and installed bamboo flooring, a far more sustainable resource than hardwood. His locker rooms include dual flush toilets and low-flow faucets and showerheads to eliminate water waste, too.
Being a green gym who promotes eco-friendly machines is not a guarantee that they can survive for a long period of time. They have competitors that have many machines which are more appealing to the gym enthusiast than what they offer.
"This is really a case study," founder Eric Guilleminault said of Off the Grid. "If it works out then great, if it doesn't, at least we tried."
The important thing is they tried to at least help our problem with our environment. They believe that we should also give back to the environment by using an eco-friendly machines which is less harmful to everyone.
It is a great move for the Off the grid to introduce not only eco-friendly machines to the gym enthusiast but also they do make an efforts in recycling, reducing energy and water usage, using environmentally friendly products throughout the gym, and fostering green initiatives in the community.

Apple Heard San Francisco and Returned To EPEAT
The home of Golden Gate Bridged has announced that it will no longer purchase any Apple products after the latter withdrew itself from a program granting environmentally friendly certification to electronic products.
"We are disappointed that Apple chose to withdraw from EPEAT and we hope that the city saying it will not buy Apple products will make Apple reconsider its participation,"
Melanie Nutter, director of San Francisco's Department of Environment, told Joel Schechtman on the Wall Street Journal's CIO Journal. A month ago, Apple announced that it will no longer submit its devices to the non-profit EPEAT for green certification. Because they believe that EPEAT was not hardware recycling but more on measuring toxins. Green certification was given if the products are recyclable and designed to do minimal harm to the environment and to maximize energy efficiency.
CNET, Dara Kerr says that Apple has responded to the criticism. Apple cites its own "rigorous environmental standards" for ensuring that its products are green; as the company tells The Loop, its own standards are not those used by EPEAT. Apple spokesperson Kristin Huguet noted that Apple "leads the industry" in reporting greenhouse gas emissions via its website. The Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool (EPEAT) is a method for consumers to evaluate the effect of a product on the environment. It is assessing lifecycle environmental standards and ranks products. In order to meet the standards, recyclers need to be able to easily disassemble products, with common tools, to separate toxic components, like batteries. But the Apple products are cannot be readily taken apart as their components are glued together. "They said their design direction was no longer consistent with the EPEAT requirements," Frisbee said.
The company did not elaborate, Frisbee said. "They were important supporters and we are disappointed that they don't want their products measured by this standard anymore." The decision of San Francisco officials to ban any Apple products to their city will have a minimal impact on the latter company. Many schools and universities are also considering to not buy any Apple products due to environmental safety concerns.
San Francisco is "prominent in environmental circles, and many local governments from around the country look to his office for guidance on green purchasing." Many cities and counties will follow what San Francisco does, says Geiger.
Environmental safety is very important. We should be responsible for every modern creation we made because it will not only affect the environment but also the human being. If we are careless with our waste products the toxins that come from it will harm the people and also all the living things that live within.
The move of Apple is big news for everyone because if they don't allow their products to be submitted to test how will the consumer will proved that their products are safe for everyone. We should all be observant and be a responsible citizen of this world. We should not only think ourselves but also all the things that surround us.

15 Easy Ways To Reduce Electric Bills in The Kitchen

15 Easy Ways To Reduce Electric Bills in The Kitchen
The appliances that we use in the kitchen are the biggest contributor of our electric bill. To minimize this electric shocking bill there are many things we need to know about our appliances.
Here are follows:
Refrigerator
Fridge is the biggest energy consuming of all. The older it is the higher its energy load. To save energy we need to replace the old with a new one with an energy saver mark and CFC badge to help our ozone layer from destruction. Our old fridge will not go into waste because it can be recycled. Because there are 120 pounds of steel in it that can saves an equivalent of almost 290 kilowatt hours.
There are many tips we need to follow in order for us save energy on our fridge.
a. Keep our refrigerator closed and refrain from opening it if when we don't have anything to do because it will be harder for the machine to generate the coolness therefore it will need more energy.
b. Sealed the dishes that was stored in the fridge because the moist that release from foods can make the fridge work harder to keep cool.
c. Unplug the refrigerator if you are out for weeks in a vacation. This will help you conserve energy at the same time will keep you out from short circuit that will lead to fire.
Oven
We used oven to bake cake and pastries in the kitchen. It is also energy consuming appliances. To minimize this we should follow these tips.
a. Install your oven away from your refrigerator because the heat that emit from oven will make the refrigerator harder to work and it will lead to more energy it will consume.
b. Used a convection oven rather than ordinary oven because it only uses one third the energy of an electric oven and it also heat more evenly. Cooking time will be reduced.
c. Keep the oven closed because the temperature will drop by every time the door open. Trust your recipe, it will never go wrong.
d. Preheat the oven only when necessary because it consumes more energy when preheated.
e. Clean the oven after each use. Check if it's has cracks and tears that can allow them to escape.
Stove Ranges
We used this for cooking our meals and everything in the kitchen. The proper way on how can we conserve energy on this are follows:
a. Used gas instead of electric when cooking.
b. Choose a pot the same diameter as the burner. Always make sure your burner is clean, Rubbish Clearance London. Every color of flame represents something like yellow flame meaning your stove need to be repaired because there is something wrong with it. Blue flame means your stove is in good working condition.
c. Reduced the heat you need as they say less is more. It will also save us from burning our meals.
Dishwasher
This is used to wash our plates, glass, spoon and fork but did you know it is also biggest contributor of your electric bill. Here are the things you need to follow to save energy.
a. Run the dishwasher at night because water rates at night are low compare to the day.
b. Always clean your dishwasher because it will be harder for them to work if there are foreign particles in it. Thus, need more energy.
c. Air dries the dishes instead of heated drying.
Kitchen lighting
a. Changed your standard light bulb with CFL's because it saves more energy up to 75%.
b. Turn off the light when not in use.
There are many ways on how we can conserve energy in the kitchen. We need only to be responsible on how to use our appliances. Turn off everything when not in used.
